The Gallimaufry

207 East Public Square
Centerville, Tennessee

gal·li·mau·fry, a noun meaning a confused jumble or medley of things.

A perusal of the front window of this shop will make it clear why it has the unusual name.  Cowboy boots, a crosscut saw, a rug beater, a shoeshine box, a stuffed patchwork duck and an ornate lively lad – the resemblance to a “can you find the hidden pictures?” is striking.

The Gallimaufry is a showcase for artists, past, present and future.  Customers can browse original art by Tom Geckle and others, collectible vintage art, Americana, books, music, and anything unusual or quirky.  You just never know what you might find.

Gallimaufry also offers a variety of art classes.  It is a work in progress, with plans to add books, custom framing and more lessons in various art forms.

Their phone number is (931) 698-9227.

Hours: Thursday through Saturday 10:00 – 5:00, or by appointment
